A Google Gemini guide for the workflows nobody documents

Thirteen chapters on what Gemini does that your current model does not — very long inputs, live search, and being already inside Gmail, Docs and Drive.

  • Put a 400-page document, a video and a photo into one conversation and ask questions across all three at once.
  • Run Deep Research on a question and get back something with sources attached instead of a confident summary of nothing.
  • Build a Gem for a task you repeat, so the instructions live in the tool rather than in a note you paste each time.
  • Use Gemini where your work already is — inside Gmail, Docs, Drive and Sheets — rather than copying text out and back again.

Who this is for

Buy it if

  • You already use another model well and want to know, specifically, what this one does that yours does not.
  • Your work lives in Google Workspace, and the integration is the reason you are even asking.
  • You routinely need to put very large documents or mixed media into a single question.
  • You want the short book. This is 117 pages because the author cut everything the other guides already cover.

Do not buy it if

  • You want the strongest general-purpose model and have no attachment to Google. Read the Claude or ChatGPT guide instead; this one assumes you have a reason to be here.
  • You have never used an AI assistant at all. Chapter 1 is brisk, and the Starter Pack is the gentler route in.
  • You want image generation depth. There is one chapter on making images; the dedicated book runs 26.
  • You need Vertex AI, the developer platform or anything with a billing console. This is the consumer assistant.

Two prompts, printed exactly as they appear inside

Prompt 22 · Structural edit, no rewritingMastering Gemini 2026
You're a structural editor. Do not rewrite a sentence. Tell me:
my argument in one line, the exact sentence where you started
skimming, which paragraph could be deleted, what I assert but
never support, and the question a hostile reader will ask.

[paste]

Naming the exact sentence where a reader starts skimming is a diagnosis you cannot get from a human editor without paying for their afternoon.

Prompt 47 · Translate the bureaucracyMastering Gemini 2026
Here's a letter from [institution]. What does it actually mean,
what does it want from me, what's the deadline, and what
happens if I do nothing?

Point a camera at the letter. The four questions are the ones you actually have, in the order you have them, and the deadline is the one people miss.

Why $19.99

This is the least-documented of the three major assistants, which is the whole argument for the price. There is no shortage of Gemini content; there is a shortage of anyone writing up the Workspace workflows properly, and that gap is what you are paying to close. A hundred and seventeen pages is two evenings, and the Deep Research chapter alone tends to replace an afternoon of the kind of searching people still do by hand.

One payment, no subscription, and the file is yours to keep. The full delivery spec is above, and the refund policy says exactly when the money comes back.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Payhip, where the payment is taken. Digital downloads are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, so completing checkout waives the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Refunds are still given for a file that will not open, a duplicate charge, the wrong product, or a product that materially differs from its description here — within 14 days, by email.

This wording matches the full refund policy exactly. If the two ever disagree, the policy page is the one that governs — and the difference is what causes chargebacks, so they are kept identical.

Questions about this book

Honestly — is Gemini worth learning if I already have ChatGPT or Claude?
Only for specific reasons, and the book names them rather than pretending otherwise. It takes very long inputs comfortably, it searches the live web well, it reads images and video alongside text in the same conversation, and it is already sitting inside Gmail, Docs and Drive. If none of those describe your work, your existing model is fine and you should not buy this. If two of them do, this is 117 pages on exactly that overlap.
Why is it so much shorter than the Claude guide?
Because it is written for someone who already knows how to prompt. It skips the fundamentals the other books cover and spends its length on what is different — Deep Research, Canvas, Gems, the Workspace integration and the multimodal side. Thirteen chapters, no padding. Shorter is the feature.
Does it cover the Workspace integration in real depth?
That is Chapter 6, and it is one of the reasons the book exists — it is the least-documented part of the product and the one most likely to be genuinely useful if your organisation already pays Google. It covers what works, what is inconsistent between apps, and what is gated behind a Workspace plan rather than a personal one.
Do I need a paid Google One or Workspace plan?
No for most of the book. Several capabilities have usage limits on the free tier and a few Workspace features need a business plan; the text marks those rather than letting you discover them. Nothing in the prompt library requires a paid plan.
What about data privacy — my work files are in Drive.
The book is direct about this and the warning is not hidden in an appendix. It tells you not to paste customer lists, order histories with names attached, or anything covered by GDPR into a consumer chatbot, and shows how to anonymise so you lose nothing in answer quality. It also flags regulated advertising claims as your liability, not Google's.
What is in the prompt library?
Chapter 11, running from printed page 75, organised by job rather than by feature — meetings and transcripts, writing and editing, documents, spreadsheets and data. Both prompts shown above are from it, printed exactly as they appear.
Gemini changes constantly. How long does this stay useful?
Chapter 13 exists for exactly that and is called Staying Current. The book dates the specifics it quotes and separates them from the parts that do not move — how to structure a request, what to verify, what to keep out of the tool. Those are the majority of it.
Is this a Google product or endorsed by Google?
Neither. It is independent, and the product names are used only to say which software the book is about.
